Food Jammers

Mondays at 10pm ET

“Food Jammers” is a series where tinkering in the garage meets cooking in the kitchen. Indulge in the creative genius of Food Jammers Micah Donovan, Christopher Martin and Nobu Adilman as they come up with brilliant designs for culinary contraptions. This series is a far cry from a “stand and stir” cooking show — it’s three everyday dudes coming up with ingenious designs for their own low-fi culinary contraptions. “Food Jammers” combines the often outrageous designs of “Monster Garage” and with the sophisticated palette of “The Naked Chef.”

Set to inspired indie music and branded with colorful low-fi animation, “Food Jammers” is a fast-paced and fun culinary adventure like you’ve never seen before. From the moment of inspiration to building the hack contraption; from prototype testing to food tasting, viewers are inspired to let their imaginations run free because in the Food Jammers universe, just about anything is possible.

Love the show. Saw the curry show today. I beg to strongly disagree about the # of curries in the world. In restaurants, its 5. In reality its infinite. Curry means liquid from cooking - most easily translated to sauce or gravy - and the combinations are endless. Restaurants naturally have to limit and Indians don't like it - because everything tastes the same - exactly because of what the chef says. At home or local looking in dhabas - the reality, execution and interpretation is inverse - each curry is the cooking liquid birthed from the ingredients, giving each a distinct flavor. The other misconception is the number of spices required. Although daily cooking uses more than we are even conscious of, all those spices are never, never, never all used in daily cooking. Curry and its interpretation and limits also vary by region. Perhaps where the chef came from there's only five. India has 26 languages. There is no one or 5 ways. Cooking is the necessity, and the artistic, soul expression of a nation. Can't be defined in small limited American quantities. If you plan a future show - do give a real Indian cook an opportunity to dispel the insanity.
Love your concept show though. Reaching beyond existing paradigms is awesome. Good luck wiht it.

For ANY chef or foodie, this is the ultimate food show!!

The only downside that i can see, is that now i have a shed full of machine parts and reclaimed wood and can envision myself blowin somethin up trying to create my own gadgets!!!

    My wife is pissed.
  • As a part of the "Good Eats" team from the early pilots until now in our 13th season I am looking forward to seeing this series. As you know Alton Brown and "Good Eats" is known for food hacks and silly cheap puppets to explain the hows and whys of food, so this show seems like a great companion.
