Pop Goes The Culture (Pilot)

From the creators of the award-winning Paste magazine, “Pop Goes The Culture” is an hour-long arts and entertainment discovery show that seeks signs of life in music, film and culture. Without taking itself too seriously, it takes viewers backstage and behind-the-scenes to uncover most excellent entertainment available today. Funny, vibrant and always in-the-know, “Pop Goes The Culture” aims to be the entertainment show for a generation eager to discover something beyond the mainstream. Segments include:

  • “On the Couch,” which winkingly digs deep into the psyche of musicians, authors and filmmakers with probing questions from a “non-board certified” psychiatrist Hans Richter.
  • “The Rock Life” goes backstage and behind the scenes with some of today’s most exciting musicians.
  • “Word on the Street” offers ordinary fans’ take on entertainment media.
  • “The Paste 7″ – the definitive list of video games, albums, films and other “entertaining bits of whatever” that everyone needs to know.
  • Music and culture reviews (in haiku format) tie it all together.

Honestly wish the hosts had alittle more personality. Writing is alittle dry, but the content is there.

Great show, very informative! Paste Magazine rocks. Highly recommend this show to any music fans. For us 30 something music fans that can't get what we want from MTV or anywhere else, this is perfect.
